Currently, I work as an Indirect Tax Senior Manager at Deloitte for the Global Trade Advisory practice. Since 2017, my practice has focused on providing complex tax advice and facilitating tax-related training for high-profile clients in the GCC region. I started my career in Dubai at a boutique firm distinguished for its concentration in tax law. While working there, I was exposed to and had the opportunity to advise on all types of taxation in the GCC. Later, I moved to a Big4 company, where I had the chance to focus my practice on Trade, Customs, and Excise tax law. In Brazil, as a member of the Brazilian Bar Association since 2010, I developed my skills as a litigation lawyer representing clients in family, labor, and civil court. When working for the public sector, I was a paralegal at the General Prosecutor's Office in Rio de Janeiro and an advisor for the Municipality of my hometown, Nova Iguaçu. When I completed my Post degree in Public Law and Human Rights law, I rejoined my former university as a professor, teaching Brazilian Constitutional Law, Human Rights, Ethics, and Consumer Law for two years. After moving to the GCC region in 2014, I developed a personal project as a writer researching and learning about the culture and traditions of the middle east to provide all Portuguese speakers around the globe with useful information about life here. I am a dynamic learner and a natural-born problem solver. Passionate about my work, I am always looking for the most efficient process.
