- Contribution for the project "EdgeHaul - Millimeter Wave Small Cell Backhaul". - As a part of this project I got opportunity to work with OpenVswitch and Openflow controller.-Working with VLANs in the virtual environment. -Adding 802.1q and 802.1ad/QinQ support to the flows and carrying out experiments with in the OVS.- Elevating performance of virtual environment by enabling queueing disciplines (qdiscs) into the hosts and filtering traffic. - Using linux container (LXC) hosts along with the OVS to deploy a lightweight topology and carrying out experiments.- Developing custom MIBs to work around custom performance parameters, compiling these MIBs using mib2c and deploying them in to the environment. - Tools and technologies used during the internship – Linux Traffic Control (TC), Linux Containers (LXC), Wireshark, tcpdump, OpenvSwitch, mininet, MIB Browsers and Oracle Virtualbox.
