Although many would espouse technology to be the answer to most of our problems, I don't believe modern high tech is any different from a stick used by a chimpanzee to collect ants out of a hole. The future lies in apes getting our collective sticks together and getting more ants out of the hole.Everything involves a process of some sort. Whether it is introducing a new way of barbecuing steak at a family gathering or changing the logic in software code, it all follows some flow. This is the core of how I have come to understand the world and how I have business impact in the organizations I am involved in. I think of technology as a tool, not any different from the primitive stone tools our fore-bearers used. What makes for lasting efficacy is our understanding of the problem and the resources at hand. My approach is understanding the big picture and seeing how my input optimizes it. The bigger picture goal unites our different approaches for something common. It is with these ideas in mind that I continue to learn and positively impact my teams and organization at large.
