I work in the front-end of the store. My responsibilities are anywhere from running the register and waiting on customers to stocking shelves and cleaning the store.

I'm responsible for giving engaging and fun tours of NESCom to high school groups, student prospects, parents, etc. Once a semester NESCom holds an Open House in which ambassadors are in charge of taking large groups of potential students and their parents around the school for the day.

I have produced and written almost 160 spots since starting at WHSN. I was approached by the Maine Emergency Management Agency in February of '09 to create a multi-spot campaign to promote their website "maineprepares.com." I wrote and produced a total of 5 spots, 3 were accepted, and are now being aired throughout the state of Maine through a deal with the Maine Association of Broadcasters.I also worked as a Student Manager at WHSN from January '09 - to May '09. I and another student mangager organized and booked WHSN's 6th Annual Acoustic Showcase to Benefit The National MS Society. 5 Maine bands performed for free, and the venue was the Bangor Opera House. It was provided free of charge by the Penobscot Theater Comapny. We held it on April 11th, 2009, and it was a huge success. We raised almost $3,000 for the MS Society. Show less

I worked on many jobs throughout the building. I was exposed to every aspect of a living breathing radio station. I frequently worked with loading spots, commercials, and syndicated shows into the computer system. I worked on production here and there, and was entrusted to back up the entire production music library.I also had to gather information about WVMJ's music library for ASCAP reporting, and I also helped reconcile our station logs.

Besides acting with the theater company, I worked behind the scenes and did some technical jobs such as lighting and sound. I worked in 3 out of the 4 shows in the season. These shows consisted of “Roger and Hammerstein’s South Pacific,” “Thoroughly Modern Millie,” and “Footloose.”I was able to interact with people from all over the country, many of them professional actors. It was a cool atmosphere to be in.
