I am an educator that teaches the sciences at the confluence of people, ecology, and economy. From this nexus, my students explore how the "lens of science" adds understanding to their view of their landscape. I design curriculum arcs to bring students through lessons where they can experience concepts occurring in front of their eyes, lead them into independent inquiry and coach them through synthesis of what they have observed and what they have learned so they may grow their abilities to identify patterns and make inferences about the relationships they experience between the science content and the people, ecology, and economy of where they live.
