Quality Assurance AnalystHealthmarkets Sep 2013 - May 2014North Richland Hills, TxI was responsible for creating and executing manual test plans from requirements in the form of User Stories both with and without acceptance criteria. I attended and report status in daily standup meetings. I worked with developers and BAs in order to clarify requirements and functionality as we worked through iterations. I organized and ran requirements handoff meetings to clarify requirements as well as test case review meetings to validate testing coverage and methodology. In addition to manual testing, I creating from scratch an automated test suite using C# and Selenium in Visual Studio. The goal was to reduce the amount of manual regression testing required during each iteration.I was also responsible for updating an out of date set of regression tests. I updated approximately 300-400 test cases to help with uniformity, remove duplication, and updated out of date or incorrect steps. The end result was a set of around 100 test cases that accomplished more than the original coverage with similar or less work. -

Risk Quality Assurance TesterThink Finance Mar 2012 - Jul 2013Fort Worth, TxAs the leader of a group of 2-3 testers, I was responsible for the validation of fast-paced changes to an underwriting decision engine. I did evaluation of requirements, in the form of requirement documents as well as verbally communicated or emailed requirements, in order to determine their completeness and potential impacts on other related business areas. I did test planning and estimations for level of effort, in terms of both test duration and person-hours.I also maintained and updated various utilities that our team uses for testing. One example is an automation suite programmed in C# and using the Fitnesse automation tool that utilizes an archive of flat files to do regression testing. Another is a custom C# Windows app that reads XML template files, modifies those templates using user input and a config file that maps user input to various XPaths, and uploads the modified XML to a database used for testing purposes.I also created and maintained a SharePoint 2007 site to manage project intake and tracking. The site uses custom lists and tasks to collect project request data, prioritize projects by weighting various data points like profitability and business needs, and track project approvals and progress. The site uses a custom workflow, designed using SharePoint Designer 2007, which automatically creates and assigns tasks to obtain required input and updates project requesters of progress via email. -
Qa AnalystThink Finance May 2010 - Mar 2012Fort Worth, Texas, United StatesI helped create and maintain a framework and front-end tool used for automated testing. The framework, developed using C# and the Selenium library with Visual Studio 2008, provides an array of tests, each with standardized parameters entry and result output. The framework is designed to allow for ease of both the modification of tests and the creation of new tests. The front-end tool, developed using WPF and C# with Expression Blend 4 and Visual Studio 2010, allows the user to consume available tests and to create and modify test cases and test suites. Users can then export and import their work to provide easily repeatable smoke and regression tests.I also was tasked with the QA testing of various projects in order to determine not only if theproducts meet the proposed business requirements but also if those business requirements meet the business and end-user needs. I developed and maintained test cases and test plans in Target Process.I also maintained and used an automated testing suite written in C# utilizing Fitnesse. The goal of this automation is to exercise a decision engine by maintaining XML messages that are pushed onto MSMQ queues to be handled by BizTalk and the decision engine. The automation then finds corresponding response XML messages on separate queues, retrieves those messages, and parses them to compare contents against predetermined expected results. -

I made recommendations for fixes to eliminate those bugs and sometimes developed the fixes and made updates in TFS. I created various custom applications using C# to aid testing as well as everyday business operation. I also developed an application to modify, create, and populate various types of resource files. -

Gis Technician, Flood ResearcherFidelity National Information Services Mar 2004 - May 2006Arlington, TxI was responsible for locating property using a variety of information sources including address, several forms of legal description (Section, Township, Range or location relative to legal descriptions of other nearby property), and directions to the property. I used numerous resources to obtain this information including city and county GIS websites, relevant local sources (county sheriff, 911 office, post office, etc), and tax district offices. I then compared this gathered information against FEMA flood maps and made determinations as to whether and to what degree these properties lay within known flood plains. In scenarios where the property was close to or partially in a flood plain, I identified where physical structures were (or where they were going to be built) and identified the legal requirement for flood insurance or exemption thereof for those properties.
