Avantor Performance Materials $500M specialty chemical provider with full P&L responsibilities (>$150m) for global electronics and Asia region for entire company, business segments included Electronics, Pharmaceuticals, Laboratory and Diagnostics. Specifically led turn-around of struggling chemical cleans business in general electronics, display, disc drive, photovoltaic and semiconductor. Reinvigorated product pipelines with determined focus on semiconductor materials that established new business at several top tier companies such as Intel, TSMC, Hynix, Samsung among others. Developed and managed P&L for all business segments operating in the Asia region and grew revenue and profits of above 20 percent year on year while establishing channel strategies and partnerships throughout Asia.

Original designed to be the first "BreakFree" consulting concept the position led to full-time employment with two year assignment to design and lead transformation of their strategic Asia repositioning program. Veeco revenues had jumped from $300m in revenue to nearly $1B over the course of a year mostly in Asia (Greater China/Korea) with little to no infrastructure in those areas. Duties included developing and creating three main development and customer collaboration sites (Korea/Taiwan/China) that included training, applications support and research and development. responsibilities also included reposition manufacturing to Asia (Singapore) to not only capture efficiencies in supply chain while moving closer to customer base it provided significantly lower operating costs and allowed an attractive tax break. In addition to the repositioning strategy a 5 year investment plan and complex order to cash process was developed for the China market around revenue recognition. Final project initiative which was completed 1 year ahead of schedule included design and implementation of Asia organization.

An $80 million Joint Venture between Nippon Gohsei and Rohm and Haas Electronic Materials providing photoimageable products in the electronic material markets.

Full P&L responsibilities for > $600M business unit focused on printed circuits boards, general metal finishes, photovoltaic and general electronics, focused on metallization and imaging products. Direct responsibilities included sales & marketing, operations including manufacturing and supply chain, technical service and research and development.Grew revenues consistently > 10 percent year on year with ebitda contribution > 30 percent. Key contributions included shifting manufacturing, supply chain and research and development to Asia with heavy focus on China growth and technology advancements in Japan and Taiwan. Served on board of directors of 50/50 joint venture with Japanese photoresist supplier Nichigo/Morton. Directed successful merger of two business units with corporations which led to improved efficiencies which drove higher growth and profits than when operating independently. Elected Vice President of Rohm and Haas and served on 30 member leadership council.

Full P&L accountability for $250M north american plastics additives business unit of $10B specialty chemical company Rohm and Haas. Direct responsibilities included sales & marketing, operations including manufacturing and supply chain, technical service and research and development. Played key role in development customer segmentation process in combination with newly developed sales excellence program. This initiative was than introduced and implemented across the entire corporation. Led initiative to improve worker safety and accountability across corporation after catastrophic loss of life incident. Revamped and improved efficiency in business intelligence leading to improved S&OP process and improved channel management. Participated and led North American General Management Council.
