We aim to challenge assumptions and the status quo.​After just under 20 years in academia I reach a point whereby my life has been enriched with extensive experience of the Higher Education sector and the world around me, that I have chosen to take a giant leap of faith and 'go it alone', to share what I have learned with the sector more widely and enrich and deepen my own experience through working with a greater range of education providers. My experience is vast, having started my career delivering, developing and designing quality higher education within the FE sector, having worked for a range of UK based HEIs and overseas. For the last 12 years I have specialised in personalised, digital and online learning, and it is this particular interest and experience, coupled with a strong work ethic and personal values which has led to the creation of The Brave. ​Why "The Brave", isn't that an odd name for a consultancy? Well, I strongly believe that for change to be effected, it needs bravery, those with a passion to change and to drive change, and the willingness to be different. I have been humbled by the voices of those who know me who have described me as such. I didn't see myself like that but I passionately wanted to embody bravery; to make things happen for me and others. Leading with this name ensures that this value, and, so it would appear, trait, is front and centre of my approach to working and living.

Responsible for the strategic visioning, leadership and development of Nottingham Business School's Digital offering. Working collaboratively with a broad stakeholder network to scope out, design and develop new Digital opportunities for NBS as well as create and lead best practice initiatives in Digital aspects of existing curriculum. I work at Nottingham Trent University within the Nottingham Business School. I module-lead and teach on the final year undergraduate module International Tourism: Development, Impact and Sustainability, first year undergraduate BAIB (Bachelor in International Business) module; Culture, Communication and Learning, final year undergraduate Leadership and Employability. I act as personal tutor for 7 seminar groups and supervise undergraduate Management Research Projects and Postgraduate Applied Consultancy Projects. I also deliver the Sustainability and Ethics section of the MSC Developing the Effective and Responsible Practitioner module.
