My responsibilities included:- General running of the Partnership.- Being in contact with clients to discuss their website needs and requirements.- Constructing the planned websites using HTML, CSS & PHP inside Adobe Dreamweaver CC.- Ensuring a 'user centered design' protocol is followed throughout the build.- Building multi-functional websites on a array of platforms such as Joomla!, Wordpress or Opencart (dependent on the clients needs).- Uploading website files and resources to the server via FTP & SFTP.- Editing MySQL tables in individual website databases.- Implementing and maximizing SEO on all sites.- Efficiently managing each of the existing websites, such as renewing domain names, the management of DNS & MX records, updating information for clients, etc.- Regularly researching new routes of diversification to ensure the business remains at the forefront of it's competitors. - The constant self assessment of personal aptitude to ensure my own skills were relevant and up-to-date with what the current market expects of web designers.

My role at Sainsbury's took place whilst I was studying at University. Working on the checkouts department I was required to vary the way I worked depending on what was being asked of me. On a day-to-day basis I was carrying out basic tasks such as processing transactions, assisting customers around the store and restocking the shelves to ensure a plentiful stock was always maintained. After the first year at Sainsbury's I started taking on more difficult & demanding tasks, this included undertaking a more supervisory role. Although not a fully-fledged team leader, I was occasionally asked if I could supervise the checkout team on evenings and weekends (this amounted to supervising approximately 30 checkout colleagues at any one time). The supervisory role would include various tasks, such as; managing staff members, dealing with customer queries & complaints, performing tannoy announcements to the entire store, 'cashing up' the checkouts and depositing the money into the stores safes and locking up the store with a manager once closing time had arrived.I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Sainsbury's because it gave me the opportunity to expand my team working skills, my communication skills and my confidence, this invaluable experience will definitely help as I progress throughout my career.
