I am a sport performance professional with an emphasis on the mental side of preparation, performance, and recovery. Specifically, my focus has been on focus (i.e., applied motor learning and performance). I help athletes learn how to improve awareness, manage attention, and direct focus to learn and perform under pressure. I also help coaches structure environments so athletes can learn and perform. And help organizations support athletes and coaches so that they can develop to their potential. Prior to being full-time in the applied side of the field, I spent a decade in the university setting as a professor. I still teach remotely as an adjunct in my field. Prior to that, I coached baseball at the youth, high school, and collegiate levels.
