Shefali is an accomplished artist, multidisciplinary designer, educator, and entrepreneur who wears many hats in the creative realm. As the founder of BASE 501, a boutique cloud studio, she has collaborated with global brands such as Starbucks, KFC, Sony, Pepsi, Disney, and Red Bull to name a few. With over 15 years of experience, Shefali has demonstrated strong creative and entrepreneurial skills, earning multiple awards and recognition for her innovative work in visual communication, illustration, digital media, branding, and interactive design.Passionate about continuous learning, Shefali constantly explores new skills to enrich her creative journey. Her dedication extends to education, where she has been sharing her expertise in design and art for the past 11 years. She has taught at several prestigious design schools, including ISDI (Atlas), NAS Academy, NMIMS School of Design, IIDE, Raffles, and SOAL (School of Accelerated Learning). Currently, she is a Professor of Practice at Somaiya School of Design, where she imparts knowledge in design software, illustration, graphic and communication design, UI/UX design, and more.Beyond teaching art and design, Shefali excels in training students in communication, strategy, and business entrepreneurial skills, helping them understand the essence of being effective designers who are industry-ready.
