I am an educator working for the benefit of all stakeholders. I have an unquenchable thirst to understand how students and and adults learn best. It is my goal to help teachers grow in their profession so that students can succeed to reach their life goals and view schools as a place to birth and reach their dreams.I have taught in urban and suburban settings in both traditional and charter school settings. During my time in education, I have served as a middle school teacher (English/Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, and Reading), team leader, School Improvement Team Member (at various sites), board member, professional development speaker, administrator, and parent-representative. I have worked traditional middle schools, a K-8 charter setting, a traditional elementary setting, and a high school setting.I am certified as both a teacher and administrator in North Carolina. I have earned an Masters in School Administration and was a Nationally Board while in the classroom.It is my belief that students learn best when meaningful relationships are formed between students and teachers and students and parents find reasons to be engaged in school through relevant and interesting offerings.
