Regardless of my role, It is my goal to help my hospital provide the highest level of quality care and deliver excellence to every patient, every day. I believe that every patient, regardless of their situation, deserves to be treated with respect and care. Prior to my retirement, I had over 45 years of management experience and over 9 years as Vice President Patient Services and CNO at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, IN. I previously served as Vice President and CNO at Gibson General Hospital and served as Interim CEO for nearly a year at that location. Memorial Hospital was recently named a 2018 recipient of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award one of only 22 hospitals who have received the award in the 30 years of the program. Though we have received this prestigious award,, our journey continues. We are preparing to submit our first Magnet application and are in the process of implementing our second Nursing Strategic Plan. My background is broad, deep and includes experience in Infection Control, Utilization Review, Medical Staff Services, Chargemaster and Contracts. Additional roles that I have had include:-Board of Directors positions for Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center, Springs Valley Bank and Trust, Hildegard Nursing Facility, Lifespring Inc. Community Mental Health Center and various other not for profit organizations in the community.-Past President and past Secretary of the Rotary Club of Jasper-Recipient of the International ATHENA Leadership award-15 years of experience as an Infection Control Nurse-5 years as Compliance Officer-including responsibilities for chargemaster and contracts.-5 years as Director of Quality Services-including Quality, Risk Management, Physician Credentialing.-I have served as Director of Obstetrics and Surgical Services.-staff nurse in the Emergency Room, Surgical and Obstetrics departments.
