A pioneer in brand journalism, Jay recently formed Hamilton Media DC to produce integrated digital PR campaigns. Its spin-off, StorySquad, specializes in video storytelling. Jay's think-like-a-journalist mindset has modernized PR departments and brought authenticity to messaging. He credits his storytelling skills to his days as a broadcast journalist where he co-created Watch on Washington, a PBS series featuring members of Congress. Jay’s career began in the newsroom of CBS News in New York City. He soon left to become one of the city’s youngest reporters at WPIX-TV. Jay has keynoted national PR events and his work is the subject of a college text book chapter on how to blog. A journalism graduate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he often returns to guest lecture.
