As a cross-functional systems architect and engineer, I developed new platform solutions required to support, configure and deliver ScriptPro's products. I initiated and led the effort to modernize the centralized monitoring and update systems connecting ScriptPro's world-wide fleet of more than 12,000 endpoints. Used industry best practices by incorporating clusters and application pools to improve reliability and performance of these systems. Created the project proposal and used my people skills to build support and ultimately gain approval for the entire endeavor. I continue to lead the use of Chef software to apply consistent configuration across this fleet of systems maintaining stringent security standards that result in predictable results from formal audits. I also participate in the design and implementation of Octopus Deploy to distribute our software to these endpoints which automated previously inconsistent manual upgrade processes.

Initiated the adoption of Chef software for configuration management. Led the project from concept, product selection, initial deployment, and ongoing releases. Created and integrated Azure DevOps pipelines to manage automated testing, builds and releases of Chef cookbooks. Designed an extensible framework for the development of cookbooks to meet security and application requirements. I maintained status as a subject matter expert for securing Windows client and server operating systems installed in regulated environments subject to PCI, HIPAA, and DISA STIG compliance requirements.

Improved the reliability and speed of installing ScriptPro's software products by combining PowerShell scripts with homegrown software. Used these scripts to simplify large, manual configuration procedures. Upgraded central data systems used to maintain and monitor ScriptPro's fleet of more than 12,000 endpoints. Led an operating system upgrade project to upgrade Active Directory domain controllers, McAfee EPO, Microsoft WSUS, and non-AD DNS services used in the monitoring and support of entire install base of ScriptPro products.Served as point of contact and subject matter expert in securing Windows 10 and Windows Server 2008R2+ to PCI, HIPAA, and DISA STIG requirements.

Along with my wife, started an on-line as well as brick and mortar retail business selling giftware and collectables. Built and maintained a ZenCart website. Used search engine optimization best practices and Adwords to drive traffic to the site. Utilized venues such as eBay, ETSY, and eCrater for customer acquisition and inventory management/liquidation. Maintained business accounting records, packaged and shipped orders, and did everything else necessary to maintain and grow the operation.

Developed multiple Microsoft platform components using Visual Basic and Visual C++ for industrial automation and real time applications. Lead a multi-discipline team to create a graphical human machine interface software product.
