With over 10 years of work experience in the nonprofit sector, I am passionate about providing compassionate and effective services to the homeless community in Houston. I have a strong background in nonprofit management, leadership development, intercultural studies, and music business, and I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration degree with a focus on non-profit/public/organizational management. I am proud to lead the Housing and Navigation Programs at The Salvation Army, where I oversee the operation and quality of various social services programs that aim to empower, restore, and transform the lives of our clients. As the Director of Housing and Navigation Programs, I am responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating program operations and services, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, preparing and reviewing budgets, and serving as a liaison to community agencies and the Advisory Board. I also work closely with The Coalition for the homeless Houston/Harris County, City of Houston, and Harris County funding partners in this work of making homelessness rare, brief, and non-reoccurring.
