Bringing exceptional service to the nonprofit sector, Kim R. Greene, MSIS is the Program Supervisor for Metropolitan Family Services at the Calumet location. Successfully transitioning from the world of Computer Sciences, Ms. Greene spent 23 years working with Fortune 500 companies before migrating into the nonprofit sector. For over 13 years, Greene has serviced families on the far south side of Chicago in the realms of executing grant requirements from the Chicago Housing Authority and the Department of Education. Within the last 9 years, it has become Greene’s passion to assist students with fulfilling their post-secondary goals. To date, she has helped acquire over 4 million dollars in merit and private scholarships, leading the highest grossing scholarships collected at the Calumet location. This includes Metropolitan's Upward Bound students awarded prestigious scholarships and internships with such organizations such as Chicago Cubs, POSSE Chicago, Golden Apple, Dell, Research Apprentice Program at UIUC and Greenwood Project. Currently, Greene supervises the TRiO Upward Bound program, organizing tutoring services, test prep, workshops, college tours, internships and employment for high school students. Greene is the proud alumnae of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and received her Master’s at Roosevelt University. Not to mention, she is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.Since a young child, Greene has exemplified outstanding leadership to various organizations. It is her hope to continue to extend her best to service students and parents in need.
