I'm a backend dev who's built a solid e-commerce foundation that can be leveraged in any line of business. I have 30 years of software dev experience. I co-own a Thai restaurant in the USA.Over the past 10 years I've developed a strong foundation, in the form of software libraries, for building out features in any industry (see www.chainreact.net for explanation). ChainReact.NET facilitates rapid low-code client-server development of powerful line-of-business apps. Unlike how most software is developed, ChainReact.NET apps aren’t brittle. They can be reshaped and adapted to an evolving understanding of market potential and needs.Developing my first game at 13 y.o. unlocked my passion for programming. The project which followed then catapulted me, still a teenager, to corporate America. That life wasn't for me and so I instead rode my bicycle southwest across the country. I'd stop for week+ intervals to read my bible at the time - a book titled "Object Oriented Software Construction". My passion shifted beyond just building software, to building a platform for building software.After living a nomadic life in Korea, Thailand, and neighboring countries for about 10 years, I returned to my hometown in Pennsylvania, where I and a Thai partner opened a Thai restaurant. Despite the initial learning curve, it was an immediate success and remains so after 10+ years of operation.The point-of-sale space was in disarray when our restaurant first opened. This emboldened me to work on my own system. Following the through line from the literary selection on my cross-country bike ride, the project's early years focused on simplifying development.I've since fundamentally simplified line-of-business app development with ChainReact.NET. Taking it further would be to create a backend no-code tool. Resisting that as the next possible step, I remain focused on my point-of-sale and online food ordering software. With my background as a restaurateur, I'm well positioned to continue down this path. Some big players have emerged in this space during the past few years, but I still see potential to compete on multiple fronts.The prospect of building a company and a team to carry my technology forward excites me. I'm looking for a stepping stone, a niche, from where I can begin my assault on the well-funded competition in the delivery app & point-of-sale spaces. In the long run, I want to reach something bigger than the initial niche. I want to build a versatile technology company that enables hyperlocal e-commerce.
