For this role, I was a system designer on the Major Projects team at the JCI Denver branch. I was the primary engineer for UC Health Cherry Creek Medical Center and JeffCo County School District. Other accounts I have been involved with are Microsoft Data Centers, HCA Healthcare, GSA, and the Gaylord Rockies Resort. My responsibilities included the following. Creating and/or modifying programming for AHU’s, RTU’s, chilled and hot water systems, VAV’s, etc… BAS network architecture and design.Creation of Johnson Controls, Metasys graphics user interface, and the creation of automation engine databases.Commissioning of controls and mechanical systems.Training of the System Technicians and my peers, overseeing the work of electrical subcontractors.

Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center

As the lead engineer on the Mechanical team at the Gaylord Rockies. I assisted management and my peers as the subject matter expert for everything related to Mechanical systems, automation, utility plant operations, and HVAC. Since the Gaylord Rockies was a new facility, my primary focuses were the development and training of the HVAC and CUP team, the creation of mechanical SOP's, and overseeing the commissioning and integration of mechanical assets and building automation systems. In addition to my job responsibilities, strived to execute several mechanical improvement and energy ROI projects throughout the year. During this time, I focused on developing my skills in control systems and energy management strategies; as well as user interface graphics editing to create an intuitive atmosphere and convenient overview of the system as a whole which greatly helped my peers in daily operations and troubleshooting.

Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center

While in this role, I was the lead tech for the overnight engineering team at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center. A part of the opening team, my primary responsibilities were the operation of the Central Utility Plant, building mechanical, and fire life safety systems. Along with oversight of customer service requests.I worked closely with our HVAC and CUP operations team, creating interim operating procedures for the mechanical plant and HVAC systems in lieu of having fully operating equipment or an implemented sequence of operations.I have been responsible for the integration of the majority of our mechanical assets into the Transcendent CMMS software. As well as the distribution and scheduling of work for engineering personnel. Partnering with the commissioning company and several other contractors to ensure proper startup/operation of mechanical systems, building automation systems, and the CUP.I have had to react decisively to several emergency situations relating to building mechanical and life safety systems, mitigating damage to building assets and impact to guests.

Lead technician on 2nd shift overseeing a team of 4 other maintenance techs. During this time I also took lead on the mechanical additions of a 303 room, 100,000 sqft meeting space expansion onto the property. Ensured proper operation and maintenance of mechanical, building automation, and life safety systems throughout the facility. Including the central utility plant, air handlers, generators, fire pumps, heat exchangers, elevators, exhaust fans, water softeners, aquatic facilities, etc.Created new and regularly inspect existing inventory forequipment, parts, and tools throughout the property.Respond to any customer work requests as well as fire andlife safety system emergencies.Regularly train Engineering personnel on the proper use of Lockout Tagout, Transcendent, Empower, equipment maintenance, operation of the central plant, and other standard operating procedures.

Performed maintenance & repairs for over 300 VAV boxes, 50 FCU's, and 20 (100+ ton) air handler units, and various other mechanical systems. Ensured proper operation of an 8000ton central utility plant and building automation systems during third shift.
