My role here was a lead position on the Product Validation Team, testing a dual screen Google Android Smartphone. My responsibilities were focused on core functionality, speed testing, mobile app performance, and overall compatibility with accessories.I performed on-site carrier acceptance testing for AT&T (AT&T 10776). Similar testing was also performed on Rogers Canada 2G/3G networks.I tested various functional areas, including: Telephony, SMS/MMS, UI/UX, Modem (RIL), touchscreen, RF, log analysis (logcat), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and overall system stability. I also created test suites for the above-mentioned functional areas and ran unit tests in HP Quality Center.Tested a variety of functional areas testing on this Android platform including: Battery performance, 2G/3G handovers, hotspot performance, 3G tethering performance, Modem AT commands, firmware flashing using ADB/fastboot, AGPS/GPS Time To First Fix, etc.I developed a firmware flashing tool for the team which automated the complete phone flashing process. The tool also updated the modem and touchscreen firmware, fetched bug reports, logs, and Radio Interface Layer using logcat.I also used Jira, Perforce P4, and HP Quality Center to create and execute test plans.

Quality Assurance testing on nWeb browser (J2ME/BREW), and the content transformation server, creating and executing manual and automated testing on simulated and live networks. My responsibilities covered black box and unit testing of HTML, mobile content, smoke testing, JavaScript, Security (SSL), Video, WAP, Qualcomm BREW NSTL certification testing & Verizon Carrier Validation testing.I worked with all of the customer projects Novarra handled since April 2007. This included Nokia, Verizon Wireless, Vodafone UK, Yahoo, Turkcell, TIM, 3-Italy, 3-Hong Kong, 3-Macau, 3-Austria, Tata Indicom, Alltel, US Cellular, and AMP’D Mobile.I also handled test automation by running Java server builds in Eclipse and testing them using JUnit. Load run stress testing on test lab server clusters to see any performance issues such as CPU spikes while under high traffic load. Analyzing TCP server logs using Wireshark. Provided support for upgrading server software on live traffic networks.
