My role here was a lead position on the Product Validation Team, testing a dual screen Google Android Smartphone. My responsibilities were focused on core functionality, speed testing, mobile app performance, and overall compatibility with accessories.I performed on-site carrier acceptance testing for AT&T (AT&T 10776). Similar testing was also performed on Rogers Canada 2G/3G networks.I tested various functional areas, including: Telephony, SMS/MMS, UI/UX, Modem (RIL), touchscreen, RF, log analysis (logcat), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and overall system stability. I also created test suites for the above-mentioned functional areas and ran unit tests in HP Quality Center.Tested a variety of functional areas testing on this Android platform including: Battery performance, 2G/3G handovers, hotspot performance, 3G tethering performance, Modem AT commands, firmware flashing using ADB/fastboot, AGPS/GPS Time To First Fix, etc.I developed a firmware flashing tool for the team which automated the complete phone flashing process. The tool also updated the modem and touchscreen firmware, fetched bug reports, logs, and Radio Interface Layer using logcat.I also used Jira, Perforce P4, and HP Quality Center to create and execute test plans.
