Agile Coaching- Helped shape executive thinking and conceptual awareness of agile and design thinking for clients through executive training and coaching. This included working with one of world's best agile coaches to deliver training for executives on how to best manage the flow of funding for successful agile product delivery.- Designed and delivered executive training for the financial planning (financial and organisational leadership) for agile product delivery for HBF, Lotterywest, Anglicare and St John of God Hospital. Delivered various conference and training programs for a broader audience, (UWA, Scitech, Central Metropolitan TAFE, Canberra Agile and Scrum communities and independent schools) including: drawing for business (for non-drawers and BAs), lean customer research, Why Agile (an introduction to agile), User story mapping and Agile Literacy (for successful agile adoption). UX Coaching and Delivery- Demonstrated the full suite of UX skills to discover the root cause of why people were abandoning credit card applications for a major financial institution. This led to a technical change increasing profitability through improved conversion rates. - Consulted to a WA not-for-profit by delivering strategy and an end-to-end brand system. This not-for-profit board is made up of senior executives who endorsed the design strategy and are now in the process of supplying social impact across organisations for the people of East Metropolitan Perth. Used stakeholder influence and communication to enable senior executives to commit to the new name (we the people) for the organisation. This enabled them to differentiate themselves in an environment of increased competition and deregulation. Proven visual design skills. Proven copywriting and service design experience. - Facilitated design thinking and UX to build products to reduce the impact of domestic violence. This includes working as a team with the nation's most respected experts in the field.

A proven social startup (initiation and scale). Australian Design Festival ran over 9 days in 2016 and 11 days in 2017. The inaugural Australian Design Festival covered product design, fashion, architecture, graphic design, furniture design, experience design, digital design, UX, design thinking and design-led business. Events were characterised by deep engagement in process and conversations on design. I founded the festival, ran it using agile planning and delivery frameworks and built the identity systems (visuals / UI) and digital assets (ticketing / website).

Michael Grau and Chris Bartley began this direct to consumer startup in 2015 over coffee. They went on to launch their first product via kickstarter, a product and business model only possible in 2016. Yet the beginnings were more humble and direct. They first met when they built an 8 metre long table for a local park because they both understood the power of bringing people together for greater impact. Their products are loved around the world and act as an example to the manufacturing sector of the power of combining design, digital and engineering.

PTBC (an Indonesian Bank owned by CBA)- Executive team level coaching and training in scrum and early agile adoption. Introduced visual management boards and facilitated design thinking sessions which led to a payment solution within a day. - Coached and demonstrated user story mapping to improve the discovery of risk and better respond to requests for estimates. - Executive stakeholder influence was demonstrated when the executive enacted my primary recommendation to build a small cross-functional team responsible for web development. This team now reports directly to the executive outside of traditional reporting lines.- Built an end-to-end process map of the flow of work for (and with) colleagues who remained in traditional roles. In this way they were able to identify areas for continual improvement while deferring full agile adoption until they were better prepared.

Led Bankwest on a journey towards agile transformation (from adoption). As part of a team I helped Bankwest move from 2 to over 16 cross-functional teams. Redesigned the agile training, coining the term “right team, right training, right time” to better integrate training and coaching. This led to more teams working and wishing to work within an agile framework (scrum). Coached scrum and created the role “iteration manager” with a JDF from the scrum guide. Coached non-IT departments (customer service & HR) in Kanban and agile after they saw agile in action and wanted it in their divisions. Organised and facilitated 120 person retrospectives for non-IT departments (credit risk).Facilitated and coached team ceremonies based on scrum (sprint planning, daily scrum, sprint reviews, retrospectives). Demonstrated excellence in designing and running retrospectives. People became bored with existing retrospectives and my facilitation and creativity resulted in more effective actions from retrospectives. Initiated brown bag lunchtime training sessions and introduced UX to the organisation with training in UX fundamentals (lean customer research). Initiated the emphasis on sprint goals to align team members to a common goal. Led the evolution of domain boards to flow the work through multiple teams in a clearer, more sustainable way. Such actions provided senior stakeholders with better decision making information and provided teams with better alignment and planning towards common business goals.

As one of the co-founders of flow I brought technologists together to make a difference to not-for-profits. We supported the efforts of volunteers as they met goals presented by not-for-profit organisations over a 24 hour period. Such goals included more conversions of volunteers for the Miracle Babies foundation through an improved sign-up process. My role as a co-founder was to facilitate events, coach teams and establish a brand identity for flow. In this way I mucked in and did everything from creating a logo (since replaced) to coaching teams and stakeholders on how to organise for swift releases. It was through these events and their incredibly swift output that I came to realise the importance of customer research in achieving goals of business partners and customers.
