About Theodore Belmont

I believe that the next stage of robotics incorporates rigid, compliant, and soft components to elegantly meet an application’s needs for repeatability, robustness, and gentleness. I've been working in robotics in some form since 8th grade, starting with FRC (team 5587), then moving on to studying robotics engineering at WPI and working in the Soft Robotics Lab. I've accumulated many projects over the years, and have started focusing on soft and continuum robots, because I've found them to be more durable than the fully rigid robots we made in FRC.
