Responsible for the overall leadership, development, organization, management and operation ofthe Seminole Tribe of Florida Education Department.Sets goals and standards for the Educational Department. Develop long and short- term goals withobjectives and outcome measures for each program. Communicate goals, objectives and outcomemeasures to all staff in order to ensure the provision of services.Responsible for creating, implementing, monitoring and evaluating educational programs to ensurelearning objectives are met.Plans, initiates, innovates, and implements the use of educational resources, services, andcurriculum, to assist in the successful development of tribal members, at risk students, and specialneeds students.Directs and participates in the development, interpretation, evaluation, and recommendation ofEducational policies, procedures, rules, and regulations for the effective operation of the EducationDepartment.Prepares and manages annual department budget and upon request, presents annual budget to theExecutive Administrative Office and or the Tribal Council.Coordinates activities, assigns and schedules work assignments, sets priorities, deadlines, anddirects the work of Education Program subordinate staff.Identifies schedules, recommends and provides training for the continued development ofEducation staff. Facilitates the creation and implementation of an effective staff developmentprogram.Evaluates and verifies employee performance via the review of result oriented work assignmentsand work techniques. Serves as a coach/mentor to Education program managers or others who areaspiring to leadership roles.Assists in the development of programs that meet the cultural, social, and educational needs of theTribal community.Facilitates a program of family and community involvement for tribal members.

Served as coach and mentor for Cambridge program and teachers regarding curriculum informationrequirements and cross curricular planning opportunities.• Provided information on available resources and professional development workshops |conferencesto staff.• Updated Cambridge regarding change in contact details at the school (e.g. new principal, examofficer, teacher support administrator etc.)• Completed Exam Officer training to insure that Cambridge Handbook rules and regulations arefollowed.• Created a school-wide Cambridge Steering Group to implement the Cambridge action plan.• Met with teachers by content area to discuss which exam components will be taken and what thosecomponents include.• Taught Advanced Placement Human Geography and World History.
