I've had a serious interest in software since high school, where I started off working with Lego Mindstorms in Robotics classes and earned an award for excellence in my first Intro to Robotics class! I remember my favorite project was a jousting competition. We had to design robot mounts, remote controls, and top it off with a Barbie gladiator. The combination of design, creativity, and logic was what initially drew me to the Software Engineering field.I also encouraged others to explore STEM fields in my community, as a Leadership Intern at Invention Camp. I worked with elementary teachers to educate and inspire students at Cloverleaf Local Schools, in Lodi, Ohio.I am now studying Software Engineering at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. On campus, I'm a Google Developer Student Clubs Lead, and also a member of the Society of Software Engineers, the Art and Design Club, and the Swim Club. Off campus, I've worked at Blue Yonder as a Product Development intern and am currently still looking for opportunities to work in the field.I hope to one day work with AI or cybersecurity, and I try and keep updated on those topics by seeking out related news. Software engineering is a rapidly evolving field, and I know not everything can be taught in a classroom, so by seeking out real-world examples I inspire myself to continue learning. Outside of engineering, I like to foster my creative side by reading, drawing, and taking pictures. I also keep my plans and thoughts organized by journaling. I live within walking distance to the school, I bike frequently, and I live with two cats who I spoil daily.
