As the Cultural Arts Administrator, I plan, direct, and coordinate the work plan for the Arts & Culture Program and ensures that the program is in alignment with City and Department's policies, goals and strategic plan. As a member of the Park Planning & Cultural Arts Division of the Parks and Recreation Department, I work directly with planning, construction management and other staff to oversee the development of integrated art projects. In addition, I collaborate with the Departmental Engagement and Events Administrator to incorporate public art into large scale community events as well as to plan, produce, and promote arts programs through marketing and sponsorships. I am also the staff liaison to the Arts & Culture Commission.RESPONSIBILITIES:- Develop calls, selection processes, contracts for public artists and related contractors for contemporary art and interactive media and digital arts.- Maintain the public art collection.- Plan collaboratively with internal teams to implement the Cultural Corridor Plan to invigorate Downtown Redmond with art through events and social practice.- Partner with team members to develop the vision and design advice for community-wide cultural programs and events- Implement cultural arts programs such as the artist-in-residence, poet laureate, Moving Art Center, and the Art Season Grant giving program.- Maintain and develop relationships with community arts organizations and partners- Develop arts and cultural advocacy strategies.- Lead policy development including updates to the cultural arts sections of the Parks, Arts, Recreation, Culture, and Conservation Plan, the Public Art Plan and more.- Manage the Arts & Culture budget, cost of service for the cultural arts program, and prepare budget offers during the city budgeting process.- Evaluate internal and external funding sources, and research and prepare grant applications and manage grant contracts.

As creator and organizer I oversee all aspects of 4 annual Rock Lottery music events. Duties include overseeing booking, marketing & production.The Rock Lottery is simple, but effective. 25 hand picked musicians meet at 10:00AM at the evening's performance venue. These volunteers are organized into five bands through a lottery-based chance selection. The five groups are released to practice at different locations. The musicians have twelve hours to agree upon a band name and create three to five songs (with a one cover song limit). The bands then return to the venue and perform what they have created in front of a waiting audience.The 25 musicians included in this experiment are carefully selected in an attempt to represent a wide variety of musical styles. This event will bring together many facets of the music community that may seem incompatible, as well as musicians whose interests may conflict. The challenge for these participants is to go beyond their personal and musical differences and work together to create a unified group project that still contains the personal styles of each of its members.Instigated in 1997 by Good/Bad Art Collective music coordinator Chris Weber in Denton, TX, the Rock Lottery has become a highly anticipated music event in the North Texas, Seattle Brooklyn and Los Angeles areas. As Event Organizer, Music Programmer, Curator, Fundraising Director, Collective Member and Artist, I created, curated and organized hundreds of multi-disciplinary art and music events along with other members of the collective first in Denton, TX (1996-1998) and later in Brooklyn, NY (1999-2002). Good/Bad reformed in 2013 to create new projects for the Dallas Museum of Art and the Nasher Sculpture Center.Good/Bad Art Collective is a Denton, Texas based group of artists that created well over 250 events in Texas and New York from 1993–2001. Throughout its production over 140 artists and creatives were active members of the collective, developing unique one-night events of art, music, and film at a breakneck pace, resulting in an expansive output that was often interactive, humorous, and thought-provoking. Good/Bad’s CURTAINS project in 2013-2014 was the first major project created by the group in more than 10 years, and coincided with the 20th anniversary of the collective. goodbadartcollective.com

As the Creative Director I worked to keep the organizations mission on the forefront of decision making and managed the day to day operations of the gallery. Duties include curating, scheduling and installation.

Decorporated Agency was the respected booking agency owned and operated by Adam Voith. Decorporated closed when Adam Voith left to take a position at The Billions Corporation.As the Booking Assistant my duties included day-to-day assistance for the primary booking agent. working on holds, offers, and confirmations, served as the primary liaison with labels and publicists, issued contracts, and updated website. Maintained regular communication with clients, managers and tour managers.I was lucky to work with a roster of bands that included American Music Club, The Baptist Generals, The Black Angels, Black Mountain, Centro-Matic, Hella, The Mountain Goats, TV on the Radio, Two Gallants, John Vanderslice and more...

Consolidated Works was a multi-disciplinary contemporary arts center working out of a 35,000 square foot facility that incorporated an art gallery, theater, cinema and music venue.As the Program Director my duties included managing day-to-day operations, scheduling, and programming for multi-disciplinary arts organization, including curating music programs and events.

Gander & White Shipping is an art handling company operating since 1933. Working out of London, Paris, Palm Beach and New York City, Gander & White offers fine art and antiques packing, shipping, and installation.As the Warehouse/Personnel/Transport Manager of the New York City operation I managed the day-to-day transport, warehouse inventory, and scheduling. As well as managing a staff of 20-30 art handlers, craters, installers and drivers.
