This concerns toxicology, ecotoxicology, genetic toxicology, in-vitro and in-vivo ADME studies, environmental risk assessment, analyses, phys/chem properties of newly developed chemical compounds and also regulatory consultancy.In our Chemistry department in Den Bosch (NL) 120 dedicated analytical and environmental chemists and pharmacists (PhD, MSc, BSc) perform high-end analyses, phys/chem studies, environmental fate studies and formulations development needed for the improvement of human health and a safer environment.As Charles River our global footprint includes over 80 sites in 20 countries world-wide.

Breda

The research group Analytical Techniques in the Life Sciences at Avans University of Applied Sciences in Breda (NL) performs research in the areas of human health, pharmaceuticals, food, proteins and forensics. We focus on the impact and understanding of biological processes by applying chemical and molecular biological analytical techniques, and by using chemometrics to extract better information from analytical data. In our research laboratory we have LC-MS capabilities (quadrupole and ion trap), HPLC and sample prep facilities, and full access to other instrumental and biochemical techniques like GC, GCMS, AAS, ELISA, CE, qPCR, Luminex a.o.Our strength is in applied research in collaboration with laboratories and research groups at SME’s, hospitals, schools and universities and incorporate new analytical knowledge and techniques in the educational programmes of Avans University.
