As a student engagement associate at the Cantor Arts Center I focus on creating and facilitating events for the Stanford community. Some of those events are POTE (party on the edge) and Museum nights. In my role I help organize the event such as food, marketing, and design. Additionally I assist in facilitating the event to make sure student have an amazing experience.

• Facilitated community engagement events for FLISSC. o Some events include “Wellness Wednesdays,” which focuses on teaching wellness practices specifically for first gen/low-income students. • Managed social media and designed graphics for outreach initiatives.

Founded my freshman year at Stanford University, I created a hairstyling and hair consulting company for the Stanford community. This company was created due to the lack of hair salons for textured hair in the Palo Alto area. Since creating Doneby.Des I’ve styled over 200 heads and have around 30 recurring clients. Operated this company for the past 4 years, developed and upheld clientele relationships, and work with on-campus opportunities to teach individuals how to take care of their natural hair. Over the past 4 years I’ve generated over 50k dollars by providing these services to the Stanford community as well as generating a social media platform for those services. In the process of scaling my brand created my own hair company Yem Hair in dedication of my late mother. This is a all natural and sustainable hair care brand that focuses on bringing awareness to the ingredients in our products.
