As a Sales Intern for AJG, I was put through a challenging, but rewarding, 3 months of professional and personal training. Throughout the summer I was challenged with learning the fundamentals of commercial insurance, developing my presentation skills (5 minute speeches every Monday in front of AJG's top executives), in depth sales training, and various other competitive challenges between my peers. I also attended client/prospective client meetings with veteran producers, assisting them where needed. Developed business relationships and friendships with peers, mentors and other colleagues in Wisconsin, as well as throughout the United States. Learned about the different operating divisions of AJG (Brokerage Services Division - Property and Casualty Retail; Gallagher Benefits Services - Employee Benefits; Risk Placement Services - Property and Casualty Wholsesale; Gallagher Bassett - Claims TPA; Artex - Captives) and how they differ and work together. Offered full-time position at AJG after completing the internship.
