Cerescon started in 2014 as a fast growing high tech start up. Cerescon focuses on the development, production and marketing of selective asparagus harvesting robot.Asparagus harvesting is still a very labor-intensive branch of horticulture. To this day, the "white gold" is harvested manually by thousands of manual workers.Cerescon was the first company to successfully demonstrate the feasibility of an automatic asparagus harvesting robot.As General Manager, I have focused on realizing the necessary funding, creating and regularly adjusting and implementing the business plan, setting up the commerce both in the Netherlands and abroad and realizing a strong team that can develop this innovation.

To support the set up and implementation of a Technical Training department within the Development and Engineering Sector. To implement a method to develop fast and efficient training and to support actual development of a large series of face to face courses on competenties, scanner functions and ASML specific subjects as well as (if relevant) the realisation of eLearning or weblecture versions of these courses.

Deliverables:A curriculum definition was developed and implemented to re-align the technical training offer to FEI field service engineers.A skills matrix was developed to create an individual skills passport per field service engineer as well as the required reports for managing development of skills and planning field service engineers on maintenance and installs.

Philips Lighting is part of Royal Philips Electronics, a company with approx. 116.000 employees, worldwide operating.Philips Lighting Academy (PLA) has been set up to increase the lighting and lighting application knowledge of lighting professionals. It helps customers to increase their business. PLA provides classroom based training, designed around customer needs. From 2010 onwards, eLearning training is offered as well. I established this training institution, I defined the strategy and I implemented this strategy for Europ, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Philips Lighting Academy is a marketing tool – resulting in a strategic PLA plan aligned with the general marketing & sales plans of the business – fitting in a commercial service delivery plan. In practice PLA is partly cost covering aiming at complete cost covering in future.I established and motivated an international team of country training managers that were locally responsible for the implementation of the strategic plan and I guided and supported them in local implementation. I was also responsible for the development and implementation of all course materials incl. eLearning and demonstration equipment. In 2009: over 1200 training days- 18.000 customers trained.I also was responsible for the specification, development and EMEA-wide implementation of a Total Cost of Ownership tool (=TCOne).
