CurrentAI Integration and Compliance Leadership:In my recent role as VP of Product Management, I spearheaded the integration of artificial intelligence to enhance our Alzheimer's and Dementia Caregiver support tools. I was the main advocate for utilizing AI to provide our coaches with precise caregiver data, pioneering the use of off-the-shelf Large Language Models (LLMs) for caregiver strain assessments and resource recommendations. Our groundbreaking efforts made Kinto the first healthtech startup granted access to OpenAI's HIPAA-compliant infrastructure.HIPAA Compliance and Security:I also undertook the critical role of HIPAA Compliance Officer, where I was responsible for the creation, approval, and enforcement of over 30 company policies to ensure compliance. My leadership saw the company successfully navigate three comprehensive security audits from major healthcare providers, adhering to all OWASP security best practices.Research and Innovation:I contributed as a researcher for the AITC (UMass/A2 Collective) grant, exploring the use of AI tools for data cleaning, summarization, classification, and sentiment analysis of caregiver data, with our findings presented at the AITC Symposium on Aging at Johns Hopkins University. Additionally, I played a pivotal role in writing and supporting the NIH SBIR Grant, which conducted a 300-participant RCT over two years to investigate the impact of caregiver support on dementia patient outcomes. My efforts were instrumental in the development and provisional patent application for Kinto's innovative caregiver coaching platform.
