During my education career, I have been more than merely a teacher. I have taught hundreds of students to walk through the writing process, and that writing a paper is more than merely an assignment. I have also coached baseball, soccer, football, and tennis. Throughout my coaching career, I've learned that it is impossible to be a good leader if you are a passive person. I've learned that each action, each command, each correction needs to be done on purpose. I have been in the driver's seat in an in-house effort to produce a professional grade production of sporting and scholastic events. Through team work and cooperation, my team has taken our live stream from a mere online production to one that is second to none. We are proud to boast that this was done in-house and has been produced in the most economical way possible. We constantly strive to find more efficient ways to better our productions. Using my design background and creativity, I have taken on the challenge of sponsoring the Clinton High School Yearbook. I've been able to assist in developing young designers by encouraging students to push themselves past simplistic approaches. I have also resurrected the school newspaper by converting it from printed form to digital form. To do this, I secured a Web site, www.TheArrowAppeal.com, and managed a rotation of articles from students while also developing students into better writers with an eye for news, columns, and feature pieces. I have attacked the financial side of the yearbook and newspaper projects. I inherited a large debt, and I have instituted a plan to decrease this debt and eventually place our journalism department back in the black. During the 2014-2015 school year, I accepted the challenge of teaching two extraordinarily large classes. I taught Intro to Theatre to two classes of 65 students. Where the average class is 30, I clearly taught twice as many students, relying on my organizational and multitasking skills.

I was hired at The Clarion-Ledger to be a copy editor, but with the news market being so financially challenged, each team member was asked to shoulder extra responsibilities. Because of this, I took on the role of Page Designer, Photographer, Columnist, and Reporter. With this being my first job, the work load seemed too much at first, but I learned as a young, new professional that the only work that is too hard is work I refuse to attack. By attacking each project, I learned to take my time and do each step correctly.
