My name’s Ryan (he/they). I’m a fat queer theatre-maker and producer based in Narrm (Melbourne) who tells stories about place, otherness, and utopia. It’s nice to meet you 👋The work I make is often queer, site-specific, & verbatim, and looks to make our world a bit better. One of my proudest achievements has been Full Cream, a multi-award-winning devised play about fat kinship and liberation which toured across the country.I am a graduate of Monash University with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Business. I studied at the (now defunct) Centre for Theatre and Performance, and was one of the students who led the campaign to save it in 2020.As a creative producer I have a strong background in events management and digital marketing, with a demonstrated track record of success in the hospitality and events industry. I am experienced with social media management, web design, email marketing, and strategic marketing for events. I am also an emerging theatre critic, and was the recipient of the Funny Tonne award at the 2024 Melbourne International Comedy Festival for writing the best review of the festival, as judged by a panel of ArtsHub critics. I am also a judge for the Green Room Awards Independent Theatre panel.
