Oversaw and coordinated the work of the Excluded Workers Fund (EWF)Team. Managed internal and external communication for the East Harlem EWF program between Union Settlement and the New York State Department of Labor. Lead bi-weekly coalition meetings with key community-based organizations and government entities within East Harlem.

Worked with Public Health Practice on activities related to the Public Health Action Support Team (PHAST) that include recruitment, event planning, program development, evaluation development and implementation. Assist with general practice efforts, collect and analyze data, develop program materials and create reports; and apply skills in the design and management of programs for local public health.

Worked in the Health Equity Department where I gained a greater understanding of how health systems were responding to the COVID-19 pandemic with a racial and health equity lens. Along with 3 of my peers I worked on a summer long project that focused on outreach strategies to provide COVID-19 awareness across the youth and marginalized communities in the Hartford area.

Adhered to Child Protective Services policies when reviewing and determining which cases would remain on the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services (MDHHS) central registry.

Gained exposure and participated in redesigning the Jubilee Parenting Program curriculum to address parenting skills and infant mortality rate for first time mothers in Detroit. Helped established a contact list of free mental health services for teens in Southeast Michigan.

Traveled to the Comprehensive Rural Health Project (CRHP) center to analyze rural healthcare access for Village Health Workers (VHW). Examined the relationship and intersection between public health, gender, community advocacy and traditional Indian health practices.
