For the Congress team/ Helsinki Convention Bureau, I've been introduced to different databases such as the UIA (Union of International Associations) & ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association). With the ICCA database, I prospect for potential leads for my team to get in touch with.On the Travel Trade team, I plan trips for groups of tour operators visiting Helsinki, usually introduced to us by Business Finland - Visit Finland. These trips can differ from each other and focus on different themes such as luxury, city break, or food & culture. I book hotels, reserve tables at restaurants and anything else it tskes to prepare these trips for the guests.

At this position I mainly worked at reception. Learning how to service customers checking in and out and addressing any other needs they experienced while staying at Scandic Espoo. Here I learned about their hotel management software and the different needs of guests belonging to loyalty programs. Communication with both guests and staff was largely in Finnish.
