Writing makes me come alive.I’ve worked for a top-three consulting firm’s IT department, as an English teacher in Spain, as an electrician’s apprentice for my father and even for a gluten-free bakery (too specialized, I know, but stay with me).I’m grateful for all of these experiences. They broadened me. They taught me how to tackle and think differently about challenging problems. They showed me how to move fast and break things (sorry Dad).But the experience of putting pen to paper, completely losing track of time and watching the words flow from my hands to the blank page?Nothing has ever come close.My first big break came by tracking down Arianna Huffington’s email address and sending her a message. She responded the very next day. I’ll be forever grateful to her for giving me a national platform at HuffPost to share my thoughts. Then I was lucky enough to secure an exclusive one-on-one interview with the former President of the European Union, Nicole Fontaine, to talk about the silver lining of Brexit. Then I tracked down Lisa Bonos at WashPost (I’m good at tracking people down, apparently) and was fortunate enough to be published there.Now I’m working for o9 Solutions as a copywriter to help articulate the company’s vision, mission and value proposition via crafting conversion-focused, B2B copy. My mission is for o9 to have nothing but world-class copy and content that stops people in their tracks. Because I believe that when consistent, original and engaging copy aligns with the company’s values—that's when the magic happens.But that’s my story.
