Founder of the Peer Assistance League (PAL), an umbrella organization containing various programs, including Peer Tutoring, Friends & Buddies, Empowering ELL Tutoring, and the Writing Center. The program's goal is to provide tutoring and mentoring services to students in all grade levels at James River High School. We have a team of over 50 tutors and mentors covering all subjects.- Organize daily tutoring sessions, pairing tutors with tutees and conducting one-on-one tutoring sessions.- Create promotional materials, such as flyers and social media posts, to support the program.- Established the PAL website (www.jrpal.org) to facilitate online signups and program information.- Contributed to the tutoring of over 400 students across various subjects.- Developed instructional videos to aid student learning.- Assisted with Empowering ELL Tutoring, focusing on enhancing English proficiency for ESL students.- Oversaw the Writing Center, assisting students in essay writing, reading comprehension, and creative writing.- Conduct tutoring and mentoring sessions before and after school on weekdays, with additional sessions on Wednesdays during study halls.- Students can easily sign up for tutoring or mentoring on the PAL website, and registrations can be made by parents, teachers, or coaches on behalf of students.- Introduced Google meetings for added flexibility in participating in tutoring sessions.- Provided worksheet reviews, allowing students to earn extra credit upon completion.

- Summer Research Fellow in the VCU Summer Research Opportunities in Engineering program- Collaborated with professor Dr. Krzysztof Cios to analyze how machine learning insights could help enhance teen driver safety- Developed decision tree classifiers to analyze teen crash data- Discovered that seatbelt non-usage and high speeds were the primary predictors of teen driver fatalities

- NASA Student Scientist for the Small Satellite Division in the Virginia Space Coast Scholars (VSCS) program- Completed a 5-month STEM course and a 1-week summer academy at NASA Wallops- Conducted group research and stand-up meetings at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore- Worked on a group mock space mission titled 'Asteroid Composition Collection and Evaluation Surveying Satellite (ACCESS),' which utilized small satellites to survey the materials on asteroids in our solar system- Presented research to NASA scientists

- Accepted into Virginia's 2022 Summer Residential Governor’s School for Mathematics, Science, and Technology, a highly selective 4-week residential STEM program fully funded by the Virginia Department of Education. Only 156 students were chosen out of thousands of high school applicants across Virginia.- Explored mathematical problem-solving with a project team- Researched polygonal geometry, mathematical music theory, and combinatorics- I thoroughly enjoyed the camaraderie and friendships with fellow students in my first dorm experience.- I enrolled in the “Explorations in Mathematics” class. For my group research project, I analyzed geometric shapes such as concave and convex polygons and identified relationships between their sides and angles. I also worked on an individual project involving patterns in music (a passion of mine) and probability/permutations. The problem was finding combinations of numbers in a list that added up to a maximum value. I found the solution using Python’s "combinations_with_replacement" function. The code also converted the numbers in the result list into musical notes. The dozens of hours I spent perfecting the code showed me the importance of coding skills in STEM research.
