Gcb sourcing is a sourcing and trading company based in Shanghai for 7 years.Our role is to help importers through all the steps of their import.As general manager, my tasks were to supervise:- B2B business development- Sourcing and selection of factories in China (via sourcing fairs and B2B trading platforms)- Verification of the applicable quality standards- Purchasing of finished goods- Negotiation of best possible price, terms and delivery schedules - Product development, sampling and production follow-up- Quality control on site- Logistic from China to Europe

In charge of the business development of the company with a main focus on the French market, i was also in charge of supervising all the steps of the import process of our customers:- sourcing of factory (purchase of finished goods: toys, garments, furniture, packaging, business gifts, electronic gadgets etc)- pre-production samples development and validation- production follow up- quality inspections- logistic. With over 150 inspections over a 3-year period, i developed a strong knowledge of the production process and behavior of Chinese manufacturers.

I had the chance and the opportunity to lecture students of ESSCA Shanghai (management school) about logistics and supply chain.
