As a casual academic tutor for the course 48622 Embedded Mechatronic Systems, my main responsibilities involved delivering workshops and presenting deliverables to students in a clear and concise manner. I strived to make complex concepts easier to understand by breaking them down into manageable parts, providing examples, and using visual aids when possible. I encouraged active participation from students during workshops, inviting questions and discussions to help them engage more effectively with the material.In addition to delivering workshops, I was also responsible for assigning and grading assignments for students in a fair and timely manner. I provided constructive feedback to help students improve their work and offered additional support to those who needed it. I recognized the importance of providing timely feedback to students, so they could adjust their approaches and work on problem areas before moving on to the next set of deliverables.Currently, responsible in restructuring the course introducing the 32 bit ARM architecture to supplement the 8 bit AVR.Other subjects include 41070 Embedded Mechatronics Studios and 48610 Introduction to Mechanical Engineering.

In this role, I worked alongside a PhD student to assist with various university-related tasks such as transcribing emails and messages. Additionally, I provided support in writing the student's thesis, experimental proposals, and papers. I was also expected to attend meetings and assist with laboratory work as required. Through this experience, I developed valuable skills in reliability, independence, and resourcefulness, which allowed me to effectively support the student with a diverse range of needs.

For this role, I engaged in extensive communication with the student prior to the exam to determine the most suitable approach for them. By doing so, I could create a conducive environment for the student and provide the necessary reading and transcribing during the exam. This role allowed me to develop effective communication skills and taught me how to be adaptable and accommodating to different needs.

The UTS Accessibility Services is an initiative designed to cater to students with diverse disabilities. I provided a wide range of support, including practical assistance and notes, to ensure that students with disabilities had equal opportunities for tertiary education. My efforts were recognized for their excellence, and I was given the opportunity to take on the role of Accessibility Assistant in aiding a PhD student. In this position, I developed my skills further, becoming more responsive and adaptive to the needs of students with disabilities. This experience enabled me to enhance my ability to provide effective support and assistance to individuals with diverse needs.

Involves developing new teaching material for 48622 Embedded Mechatronics Systems which included major restructuring changes shifting from 8 bit AVR (arduino) to 32 bit ARM (STM32) architecture. Most the deliverables revolved around the development of new LAB material, standardized tutorial content and content evaluation and testing.The opportunity to restructure a course has provided insight to more industry leading embedded system microcontrollers such as the STM platform utilizing many of its advance features. Continuing to explore new fronts and now branching into Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).Was solely responsible for developing the embedded software solution for subject 41070 Embedded Mechatronic Systems. Responsible for continuing the work from my internship while up-taking additional projects and tasks. Currently, a Chief Investigator (CI) for a project while concurrently managing and training upcoming interns and capstone students. Aim is to deliver present the work at a conference run by the Australian Acoustical Society in December.Other projects involved working with Sydney Metro (acoustic modelling and simulation).

During the internship, I worked on developing and calibrating test systems for researchers in vibration and acoustics. I also managed communication between team members and laboratory staff when booking equipment. The system being developed was an optical accelerometer capable of transmitting signals over large distances with little loss in signal integrity. This knowledge could be applied to structural health monitoring (SHM) of various materials.Used a range of equipment such as the LPA 600, MFG-2260MFA Function Generator, NI 9171 DAQ Module, DSOX2004A oscilloscope, V406 vibration shaker, range of laser doppler vibrometry (LDV) devices and calibration vibrators. Other things I used involved analytic tools such as LabView, Simcenter, and Polytech to gather and process data. Solidworks and Autodesk were also used to develop models to understand the employed systems better. This involved making developing models for clients, 3D renders for exhibitions posters etc.The majority of the work involved different sensor (accelerometer) calibration tests and validations, setting up and testing various conditions to test the SHM fibre optic network. As a result, gained experience in using advanced tools to develop and calibrate systems for structural health monitoring systems, which could be useful in detecting and preventing damage to various materials.Was encouraged to use this understanding to develop a research proposal, with the goal of having completed a research paper by the end of the internship. The paper will involve the methods of model updating techniques based on experimental data to characterise an orthotropic material with the help of Comsol Multiphysics software.

As a duty manager, my responsibilities included enforcing company policies, maintaining store standards, and managing the team's tasks and administration. Through this role, I gained exposure to a more management-focused viewpoint of business operations, where I had to work within budgets, procedures, and exercise independence. I was given first aid training and was recommended for this role due to my effective communication skills and ability to understand business operations, despite being with the company for only six months. My managers provided me with guidance to pursue becoming a Department Manager, as they saw potential in my talents.

I was awarded Team Member of the Month (December 2022) for my excellent customer service and attention to detail. This recognition was a result of my dedication to the role, reliability, and fast and efficient work. Additionally, I took on additional tasks such as performance evaluations, coaching, and feedback for team members beyond my role's scope. Others noticed my talents and capabilities, leading to a recommendation for me to become a duty manager.
