The International Research Project (IRP) is an independent organization within the Marketing Association Amsterdam and is organizing a yearly research trip abroad since 1990. The research that is conducted by the IRP can take several forms. For example, in recent years the IRP analysed and assessed consumer markets and a competition analysis was performed. The research group consists of 18 highly motivated students from both the Vrije Universiteit as the Universiteit van Amsterdam, all in the last phase of their study. In the summer of 2013 they will conduct four weeks of research in China for internationally oriented Dutch companies.
