MUR Motorsports is the Formula-SAE team of The University Of Melbourne. We design and manufacture a formula style racing car and participate alongside other universities in a competition that is held at the end of every year. In a team of around 25 engineering students, my tasks included:• Analyzing vehicle data and comparing data from previous design iterations to formulate a more reliable design for the lubrication system.• Utilizing the SolidWorks software to create a detailed 3D design of the lubrication system.• Produced technical drawings for manufacturing purposes.• Gained familiarity with various manufacturing techniques (CNC machining, welding techniques, 3D printing, laser cutting).• Performed hands on assembly/modifications to the lubrication system in the workshop.• Undertook static and dynamic testing for the lubrication system.• Project scheduling, planning and budget control.• Completed academic reports and presentations.Achievements:• The final overall design ensured that there was stable oil pressure throughout the RPM band without inconsistencies.
