Indonesia Tuna Consortium Strategic Lead

The Indonesian Tuna Consortium was created in 2019 to coordinate a cross-sector approach to develop science-based policies and regulations, implement social and economic programs to improve fisher livelihoods, and integrate these policies into a holistic harvest strategy for tuna fisheries in Indonesia’s archipelagic waters. The goal of the consortium is to bring key stakeholders from across the non-profit, private, and public sectors to establish a harvest strategy that will be adopted by the Government of Indonesia (GOI) to secure healthy, sustainable tuna fisheries and fisher communities throughout Indonesia. The Phase II Tuna Consortium consists of five member organizations based in Indonesia.The Strategic Lead and Advisor provide coordination and policy expertise to consortium members and implementation team. The Strategic Lead and Advisor will be a key liaison between the GoI, Resonance United States-based project team and the five consortium members. The Strategic Advisor will identify opportunities for collaboration and coordinate with the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF) and other GOI stakeholders.Lead consortium meetings and technical working groups, and external workshops with consortium members and relevant stakeholders, including the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF) and other GOI stakeholders and to provide strategic and technical leadership on the consortium action plan implementation and review, and engage the Resonance US-based project team, the Walton Family Foundation and consortium members to continually align strategic design and delivery of the grant activities.
