1 ) Installation and Configuration: i ) Installing V SAT / Iridium / Starlink on new ships , Running vessels. ii ) Installing V SAT / Iridium from KVH Industries on new ships. iii ) Installation of ship email systems (GT Mail/ Orilla Mail) iv ) Installation of ship antivirus software (GT Sentinel / Port IT Antivirus) 2 ) Maintenance and Troubleshooting: i ) Managing internal IT systems ii ) Provide Vessel IT remotely or Onboard iii ) Trouble shoot and update antivirus and etc via remote or onboard. 3 ) Network Management: i ) Manage Network by Infinity Server. ii ) Know how to manage Network by KVH Comm box EDGE 6. 4 )Technical Support: i ) Provide technical support to crew members and other personnel regarding IT systems and equipment. ii ) Conduct to ensure that Captain and crew members are proficient in using onboard technology 5 ) Documentation and Reporting: i ) Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, Manuals, configurations, and procedures ii )Prepare reports on system performance, incidents, and maintenance activities. 6 ) Collaboration: i ) Collaborate with shore-based IT teams for software updates, data backups, and other remote support tasks. 7 ) Security Management: i ) Ensure compliance with cybersecurity protocols and practices to protect onboard systems from potential threats. 8 ) Project Management: i ) Participate in IT-related projects, such as system upgrades, software implementations, or new technology roll outs. ii ) Assist in the planning and execution of projects while adhering to timelines and budgets. 9 ) Inventory Management: i ) Keep track of IT equipment inventory, including hardware, software licenses, and tools.10 ) Continuous Improvement: i ) Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements to onboard IT systems. ii ) Contribute to developing best practices for IT operations on vessels.
