Hi there! So glad you stopped by :)As an Assistant Controller at Northland Investments, a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) company, managing YUM! Brand Concepts (Taco Bell, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Long John Silvers, A&W Restaurants). I compute, reconcile and prepare financial statements on a monthly basis and present to upper level management and owners. I manage most aspects of the general ledger, including constructing journal entries, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance. I've also taken great pride in formulating monthly, quarterly and year-end analysis and budgeting needs for leadership. More about me - I graduated from Saginaw Valley State University with a bachelors in business, minor in finance. I started my career at a CPA firm, where spent a lot of long hours auditing and ended up building many relationships within the community. After three years, I moved onto a private company in Houghton Lake, MI (fun fact - largest inland lake in MI) where I currently hold the title of Assistant Controller. When I am not nose deep in financials, I find myself learning new tools and formulas in excel - I've really become quite the junky! In the last year or two, I have found joy in helping others make their jobs easier. Whether that is an excel formula or creating a simple rule in outlook email - I truly enjoy being helpful and creating new connections.
