Novels: Born Confused (the 1st South Asian American YA novel); Bombay Blues (sequel/recipient of the South Asia Book Award).Booktrack albums (original songs based on her books): When We Were Twins; Bombay Spleen.Tanuja's work has been included in numerous anthologies, and her novels in school and college curriculums. Produced by Tanuja Desai Hidier and edited by Atom Fellows, the project was filmed grassroots/DIY style, by The We (all participants), on our phones (mostly), all over the world (since last November). The idea was/is to come together in an act of musical intersectionality—a Mutiny to Unity—to raise awareness of the song’s issues/themes (putting an end to violence against women, homophobia, racism, rape culture, ‘Othering’) and direct people towards help and ways to support.
