I grew up in Minnesota, managed a grocery store, was an undergraduate at U of MN, graduate school at U of MN in experimental high-energy physics, thesis experiment at Fermilab, then post-doc on Proton Decay experiment at Soudan, Argonne, and FNAL. Joined 3M R&D working on image processing, then optics, electronics, software, and systems engineering on medical laser imagers, then to Imation, Kodak, and back to 3M doing R&D on HF & UHF RFID for libraries, hospitals, file tracking, and project lead designing SaaS web services for an RFID underground inventory and locating system. Spent a year and a half at the University of Minnesota, Physics Department, doing R&D on a proposed 10,000 ton water cherenkov detector for a deep water neutrino oscillation experiment. I have several patents and experimental physics papers. Currently doing web development and developing streaming video production capabilities for a dance company & school.
