About Thomas Aabo

As the R&D Manager at Kaleido Technology, I lead a team of engineers and technicians who are responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge wafer-level molding technology for high-end mobile phone glass lenses. With a PhD in Biophysics and over seven years of experience in the camera module industry, I have a strong background in optics, imaging systems, thermal and mechanical simulation, and nanobiotechnology.My passion is to solve complex problems and find novel ways of reaching the goals set by our clients and partners. I have successfully managed all phases of the development and commissioning of state-of-the-art molding machines for our new facilities in China, resulting in quality and yield increases, cycle time reduction, and cost savings. I have also contributed to the launch of our proprietary molding technology in 2021, which enables us to produce wafer-level optics with superior performance and reliability. Additionally, I have secured multiple patents and funding from various innovation and research counsels for our projects. As a manager, I always strive to get the best performance from my team and to empower them to reach their full potential.
