Supervisor receives their guidance from and provides feedback to Quality VP and Managers. : • Interface with other departments to resolve quality issues: Engineering-fit, form and functional product improvements or drawing corrections to requirements; Mfg Engineering for manufacturing planning and work instruction improvements; Quality Engineering for evaluation of quality issues and implementation of corrective actions and product improvements; Production Control to help drive corrective actions and improvements; Assembly to help train assemblers and assembly supervisors to required methods and techniques; Paint to help train painters and paint supervisors to required methods and techniques; Inventory to help build and maintain the flow of inventory to quality requirements; Statistical Process Control to help in the gathering of data, and to help implement corrective action based on the data collected• Plan and coordinate the daily assignments of assigned personnel and area of responsibility• Recognize quality issues from the customer, interoffice communications and inspection/auditing data• Follow up on quality issues and "drive" them to resolution in accordance with the customer requirements• Train or arrange training for subordinates and self as required to help better performance• Analyze for response and corrective action the deficiency findings of the technicians and/or inspectors• Attend supervisor and mid-mgmt meetings with the customer and other TVSD departments to help identify hardware and software quality problems, proposals and solutions on quality and task coordination issues• Perform other tasks of the same scope as required by VP Quality
