Organised a number of projects concurrently in the former Neighbourhoods directorate of Peterborough City Council, dividing time equally to improve efficiency and outcomes of the Social Inclusions, Housing Needs and Licensing departments.Achievements:• Spearheaded the research and corresponding report into the potential impacts of the Welfare Reform Act 2012 on Peterborough and introduced ways to mitigate these impacts. This report directly aided the creation of a Credit Union in the city, and assisted in creating new public-facing services and changes to the overall financial budget to help key stakeholders and vulnerable adults.• Improved the efficiency and compliance of the Licensing department by designing and creating new procedures for processing Licensing Act 2003 applications and handling administration accordingly.• Devised new ways to manage incoming enquiries and handle sensitive data for the Housing Needs department, leading to faster and more detailed application processing for Housing Needs clients and more secure retention of sensitive data on file.• Assumed secretarial duties for the council on behalf of a number of steering groups and forums for the Neighbourhoods department, including the Tackling Poverty forum and the Gypsy & Travellers Board, and created presentations on classified proposals by the council to outline and compare best outcomes and options available to councillors and decision makers.
