I have proudly served my community as a police officer for the past twenty years. I am a husband of 15 years, a father to a 12-year-old son, and an avid outdoorsman. I am actively involved in my local community through various organizations.Through my career in law enforcement, I have gained experience in leadership and management. I spent 13 years as an assistant shift supervisor, shift supervisor, and shift commander. Most recently I directly managed up to 7 officers on my shift and any number of reserves who reported for duty. I have a set of skills which comes unique from law enforcement in regards to decision making and operating in high pressure situations often times while being diplomatic in community relations with the public. Through this, I have been able to advance my oral and verbal communication skills as well as being proficient in computer skills from writing reports, interviewing people, and testifying in court. I have experience in handling sensitive information dealing with people’s personal information and information coming in from national crime databases. I am accustomed to long hours, nights, and weekends. Also in policing, there is a large amount of collaboration that goes on working with surrounding agencies and businesses.I am a quick learner, hard working, and loyal employee. I believe I can be an asset to any team.
