I was responsible for the coordination and implementation of thedevelopment of a product range of 43 new OE accessory bars for the 2016 TOYOTA Hiluxand Fortuner. I handled timing and planning of milestones, allocation of human resources,liaising with clients (TOYOTA South Africa) and managing suppliers. I was also responsiblefor the development of.

I shadowed a mentor in the maintenance department for 5 weeks at the Durban refinery. I studied the restoration of their large sulphur tank (100 cubic meters), including chemical failure methods, maintenance procedures and work site safety protocol. Additionally, knowledge on the entire plant’s operation was gained.

I worked in the R&D department for 8 weeks. I designed a car-mounted bicycle rack using the CAD package "Pro-Engineer". I also oversaw the production of a prototype of my design.
